  • may life insurance for my Grandad be pricey?

    5:02 am on March 11, 2010 | 0 Permalink

I just realised my Grandad, who lives in England, does not have some form of life insurance, he getting on a bit at 86, and has had a few falls recently. He is not covered against accidents or death. Would his coverage be pricey? And is it possible to make myself beneficiary, even if I live in a different country?? (I recently moved to USA with wife). some help or advice would be appreciated.

  • How much is Motorcycle insurance in TORONTO?

    5:01 am on March 11, 2010 | 0 Permalink

I’m a 28 year old male with an M1. I’m looking to purchase a bike like a 2000 GSX600-R and i was wondering how much insurance would be a month. If you are not from TORONTO, ONTARIO please don’t bother replying because the prices in Toronto are usually outrageous so if you’re from some where else, don’t bother, i’m glad you get such good rates ;)

also i have rode before many times, so no comments about a 600 being too big… i grew up on dirt bikes… thanks

  • How much may my geico auto insurance rates go up before an accident?

    5:01 am on March 11, 2010 | 0 Permalink

If I’ve had a couple of accidents in years past, currently pay about 1,200/year for geico. I just had a very minor fender bender in which I sustained no damage but the other car (a BMW) got 2 scratches on the rear. How much can I expect my insurance rates to go up when this is some reported?

  • What is the age limit for a son or daughter to be covered on health insurance?

    1:06 am on March 11, 2010 | 0 Permalink

Several years ago I recall the news reporting that children could be carried on his parents’ health insurance through age 25 without proof that they were a student. My son is a student, but I am still trying to find the law.
I found my answer and the answer is 25. I should have further qualified my question by saying "in Texas."

About half way down, Covering Dependents, Texas Department of Insurance.

    COVERING DEPENDENTS
Children and grandchildren covered by a plan as dependents are eligible for dependent health care coverage until the age of 25. State law requires plans to provide comparable coverage for a dependent if the enrolled parent is required to provide medical child support under a court order. The plan may not require the child to live within the service area or to live with the parent….Large-employer plans that include dependent coverage must also provide coverage for children up to age 25. However, except for emergency care and authorized referrals, an HMO plan can require dependent students to go back to the plan’s service area to receive health care services.
