  Hi, the thing is that me and my boyfriend bought a house, car and pay bills together. We broke up a while ago, and I was wondering what kind of lawyer I could look for that can help me with the legal matters of the house, since we’re both on the loan together, and I would like to put the house for sale or get out of the loan, since I don’t trust him; and for the car and things.
  We were together for 4 years.

  And I don’t really want us to sell the house and him keeping some the money, or him keeping the car (because his name is on the loan with mine, and I pay the car monthly)
  I’m also from Georgia.

  My mom and my step mom have declared bankruptcy 1 or 2 times in the last 10 years. My older sister now lives with them because his health hasn’t been so good for some time. Needless to say his credit isn’t so good before filing for bankruptcys. Now I hear the bank has gone to foreclose his home and they say to us, his adult children that they have his lawyer working on it but don’t tell us much else. My parents havent made such good choices about his money in the past so we are pretty skeptical. Not merely that a majior reason why they are in this finacial hell is because my step mom fell for an internet e-mail scam. I and my sister am trying to help them as much as we can with our own practical smarts but they haven’t told us some details so far. From what we gather my parents could be housless come Febuary. What can be done to help them legally and, or what would you do about some this?
  I don’t know what form of bankruptcy they have filed this time.. but they say they may be required to pay some of his bankruptcy debts off and keep up with some of his incoming future bills they may have too.
  Step mom works 2 jobs. My mom is on disability. My older sister also works but he is the 1 who has been sick (and even though it is not HIV or AIDS he may also be ill for years to come too) is now working at a Taco Del Mar.
