I think the relationship between USA and Mexico is important, but the Mexican economy is still very small compared to the US, EU or Chinese economy.

Mexico may benefit from this meltdown. As was pointed out to me, Latinos are weathering this recession better than gringos because they are not nearly as afraid. They are much more used to instability. The natural attractions of Mexico as a place to live, and the warmth of the Mexican people may increase their standing in the economy of North America.
