In the US yes you can. There should be no problem. You can even get your own policy online with Progressive. I wouldn’t suggest it if you do not know much about insurance. The best thing to do is to call an independent agent for a quote. They can advise you on what coverage you should have, they will offer you a few options and you can make an informed decision for the coverage that is best for your situation & what you can afford. It will be expensive!

If you have a regular driver’s license, all you have to have is the money to pay the premiums. Check the Yellow Pages for the insurance company in which you are interested and give them a call.

Yes, you can get quotes & a policy online. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.
