McCain is now threatening to boycott them unless congress acts fast on the economy. good except it is a lot like a little boy threatening to hold his breath till he turns blue unless he gets his way. also if he does the individual who would benefit is him. We would not get a clothes look at how he compares to Obama or finally get a chance to see if Sarah knows anything….

What does the presidential debates have to do with the economy?

Through the debates we can understand the candidates and what they are made of. McCain is a chicken and he is good in plaing games. I am so sick of this types of rich people or the ones that married into rich families as McCain. That’s it! I had with this creapy and game player. Maybe Obama is not GOD and will not make miracles but he is WAY BETTER and more serious than the coward called McCain.Ps.: So you know, McCain cancelled all his appearances after the wall street scandall because his CAMPAING ADVISER is one of the main players and directly connected w one of the cos. involved in the biggest bail out in history. Shame on you Rick Davis , shame on you McCain.

Nothing, it is McCain’s way to portray himself as a leader he doesn’t have that much influence on this matter, instead, it portrays him as unable to handle several matters at once.

In as much as McCain already said he knows very little about the economy, doesn’t it make you feel good to know that he is going to be the one to fix it?????? This makes absolutely no sense! Even now that the congress has worked out a deal (with no input from McCain who was busy being interviewed by Katie Couric and then flying to NY for a Clinton event) McCain says he won’t commit to the debate. Newsflash for McCain: He ALREADY COMMITTED to the debate a few months ago.

Because he has no policies, nothing to go on, nothing to defend himself with. You see in a debate you actually have to try and PROVE your point. All I ever see from the McCain camp is him trying to bring down Obama. Every time he talks to people he talks a little about this and that then rattles on about Obama. Granted Obama does about the same, but he is actually prepared to debate whereas McCain is not. McCain is stalling for time.

Funny how we all see things differently. I thought Obama was having a big boy tantrum yesterday when he kept repeating " I initiated the call to McCain, " it was me, all me, me me me….I was first….it was my idea and he stole it. I wanted to issue a "statement" with him. And he stole my thunder. We play by my rules and not his. He isn’t allowed to have his own ideas. He wasn’t supposed to talk before me. He isn’t listening to me. I told him what to do and he didn’t do it.
He can’t multitask like me…ha ha. He can go to Washington and I will study for my debate. He can vote in the Senate if he wants to but they don’t need me. (ooops…)

McCain likes to pretend that he could actually help fix the economy.

Gee, I’ve got an idea. How about working on the package during the day (they don’t even need to be there, but what the heck), and then take a few hours in the evening to debate?

The debates gives the opportunity to the candidates to speak to the economy and let the American people know where they stand. The old geezer risks looking like he’s running away from debating Obama and that he can’t handle doing more than one thing at a time. Not a good skill set (or lack thereof) for a future president.

You’ve got it backwards.
It is *not* that McCain wants congress to rush the package and get it done before the debates tomorrow. It is that McCain wanted to delay the debate until after a solution was reached so that he and Obama could be where they *should* be, which is in Congress discussing the bailout package!

because, McCain & Obama are both senators, and should be helping consturt this important legislation to the benifit of the people they represent, not studying up for a debate on foreign policy. If they go on with a debate on foreign policy tomorrow, people will be throwing bricks through their TVS!!!!
Of course, Obama supporters are use to candidate that has done nothing in the senate, so I can see how Obama just wants to go on with the debate.

Well I think preventing another Great Depression is a lot more priority than a debate, and we have 40 some days left so they can happen at anytime. Debates have to happen no matter what so he couldn’t completely get out of them, even if he wanted.

Yahoo is deleting all the questions about McCain’s DROOPY EYE. BUT, did anybody else notice it. I’VE gotten about a hundred emails from people who did.
WE THINK IT MAY BE SIGNS OF A STROKE.

Ever think that is why he did this? He has been in politics a very long time and learned some very sneaky things along the way.

Because John "I don’t understand the economy" McCain is so indispensable to the drafting of this bail out that it was fleshed out and supported by both parties before he made it to the Senate. Currently he is still trying to figure out why an economy that is fundamentally strong needs to be bailed out. His dog and pony died before the press arrived.
He is supposedly suspending his campaign, yet took time to deliver a speech to the Clinton Global Initiative which he opened by pretty much telling them I know the purpose of this organization to to deal with disease and hunger in foreign countries but I want to talk about something more important the American financial crisis. He certainly has big ones, your people are dying but we’re losing money and that’s more important. Sounded like a campaign speech to me.
